What does the printable version of Science Bits offer?
Science Bits provides a PDF version of its content and activities, designed as a backup for classroom use when computers are not available or there is no internet connection.
The printable version includes the «Engage,» «Explore,» «Explain,» and «Elaborate» lessons, along with some activities. All the content available in the printable version is also included in the digital version. However, the digital version offers many more teaching resources, such as interactive multimedia content, self-correcting activities, generative feedback with step-by-step guidance, and more.
Moreover, the digital platform allows teachers to track student progress and apply formative assessment strategies.
Handwritten notes
Combining the digital format with handwritten notes enriches the classroom experience and provides the necessary tools for different teaching approaches.
This methodology is especially relevant in Science Bits, as some activities require a more deliberate and reflective approach. Once students complete an activity, they enter their responses into the platform and check if their answers are correct. Teachers also receive detailed information about students’ completed tasks.
We believe it is important for students to continue using notebooks to work through activities and maintain the habit of taking notes.
